This weekend is our 4 x 4 x 48 Challenge weekend! There are lots of ways that you can take part and support the LA.
It’s going to be a great weekend and ultimately will help ensure no amputee need cope alone. Your generosity and support makes a difference to the lives of amputees so please get involved however you can.
Take part in the LA 4x4x48 Zoomathon
Our Outreach Co-ordinators are holding 12 online sessions on Zoom for the 4x4x48 challenge. They will be taking place every 4 hours over 48 hours, starting at 12 noon on Friday 15th October with the final session at 8am on Sunday 17th October.
We’d love for you to take part in as many sessions as you can and support #LifeAfterLimbLoss.

In addition to this, every four hours across the weekend we will be sharing short, 4-minute chair-based exercise sessions ranging from breathing exercises to more physical exercises on our social media pages.
Sponsor Bolt Burdon Kemp’s 4x4x48 Challenge
The LA is proud to support our friends at Bolt Burdon Kemp – a member of our legal panel – who are taking on a 4 x 4 x 48 challenge to raise £8,000 for the Limbless Association. The intrepid team of 18 are walking or running 4 miles every 4 hours through the day and night for 48 hours.
They begin their route in Epping on Friday 15th October and will be passing by the new limb fitting centre at Mayflower Community Hospital in Billericay at about 12 noon on Saturday 16th.
Please join the LA Team and volunteers between 11am and 2pm for an outside reception before we welcome Bolt Burdon Kemp and celebrate them reaching the halfway stage of their challenge, then cheer them on their way! You can register your attendance here.
Donate to the LA’s 4x4x48 fundraiser
You can also just simply donate to help support our 4x4x48 fundraiser. Every pound that is donated will go to support Lives Beyond Limb Loss. You can find different ways to donate on our website, JustGiving page or by texting to donate.
You can text to donate £4.00 using your mobile: text 4FORLA to 70480.
We are using a platform called donr. When you text 4FORLA to 70480, you will receive an acknowledgement saying you have donated £4.00 to the Limbless Association. You will then receive another text asking you whether you want to add Gift Aid which is open to all UK taxpayers and costs the donor nothing. If this is yes, you will be asked to complete a simple form (for HMRC purposes) and after that, you will receive an acknowledgement with a transaction number. The donation has still only cost £4.00! If you do not wish to add Gift Aid, please ignore the text.
