LA Virtually Speaking about…..coping as a young amputee (online)
With Ella Dove, LA Trustee and Young Ambassador
Join us online for a young person’s perspective on facing the challenges of amputation. Suitable for young amputees (12 -17 years old accompanied by a parent/guardian), parents of children, young amputees 18 to 25 as well as clinicians/professionals supporting younger patients.
Becoming an amputee at a point in life where you’re navigating the world as a young teen or in early adulthood brings its own specific challenges. Ella Dove is a journalist, author, TEDx speaker, LA trustee, Volunteer Visitor and Young Ambassador. In 2016, she became an amputee then aged 25. Ella has talked and written about her experiences of coping with limb loss at a young age. As well as sharing her own experience at this event she will lead discussions on this important topic. Other members of the LA team will be on hand to support too.
