Following a sudden abdominal aortic aneurysm in 2015, my Grandad lost the whole of his right leg. It was a massive shock to our family and he had only 10% chance of surviving the whole ordeal. As a result of this, my sister and I decided to fundraise for a charity that makes a difference to the lives of amputees, the Limbless Association. Between us we organised a cake sale and sponsored silence, as well as offline funding on our Just Giving page. We ended up raising a total of £1,002.00. We love our Grandad so much and are so lucky to still have him in our lives & wanted to support a charity that is there for people like him.

The Limbless Association make no charge for its services, so that no amputee is ever left without the information and support they need. We rely on the generosity of the public and our amazing fundraisers like Sophie & Emma , their support has assisted the LA with 35 years of ensuring that no amputee need cope alone
